The Human Resources Generalist will be responsible for providing support in the various HR functions, which include administration, recruitment, staffing, training and development, performance monitoring and employee counselling.
Responsibilities:
- Creating, implementing and administering human resources policies and procedures and ensuring that practices are compliant with statutory requirements and guidelines
- Assist with various aspects of HR Operations including employee documentation, on-boarding, off-boarding and day to day queries
- Be actively involved in recruitment by preparing job descriptions, posting ads and managing the hiring process
- Support with employee relations by providing guidelines and clarifications on policies and their application
- Administration of employee benefits and claims
- Participating in and/or leading projects focused on continuous improvement
- Organize and schedule meetings and events
- Support the development and implementation of HR initiatives and systems
- Create and implement effective plans and support throughout the employee lifecycle.
- Assisting with the development of training and development programs
- Assist in performance management processes
- Support the management of disciplinary and grievance issues
- Maintain employee records (attendance, EEO data etc.) according to policy and legal requirements
- Assist with Ad-hoc HR activities as and when required
- Degree in human resources or related field
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in human resources
- Proficient in MS Office
- Experience on SAP SuccessFactors – advantageous
- Understanding of labour laws and disciplinary procedures
- Working in a unionised environment
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- In depth knowledge of employment laws & statutory requirements
- Organised, meticulous & detail oriented
- Creative problem solver who thrives when presented with a challenge
