Job Summary
We are seeking a Supplier Approval Specialist to join our team. The Supply Chain Specialist will be responsible for monitoring the daily operations of the company's supply chain, from raw materials to finished goods. The specialist will be accountable for the success of the entire supply chain, from planning through production and delivery, building positive supplier relationships, mitigating risks, and ensuring compliance, and providing performance monitoring and reporting. Overall, the specialist will manage all aspects of a project through different phases of the project timeline including Forecasting, Placing Workorders, Ingredient Worksheet, Registering Vendor, Processing Price Cards, Creating Purchase Orders, and Overseeing Shipping the Schedule.

Responsibilities
- Identifies and selects suppliers, ensuring reliability, cost-effectiveness, and quality standards.

- Determines the optimal amount of inventory; Manages inventory levels, monitors stock levels, and tracks inventories.

- Manages shipping schedules for transportation of goods, including raw materials and finished products.

- Analyze and streamline supply chain workflows, enhancing operational efficiency and minimizing costs.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve project goals.

- Negotiates contracts and agreements with suppliers, carriers, and freight forwarders.

- Ensures that suppliers provide reliable, timely and quality supplies by building and maintaining positive relationships.

- Ensures that the company meets all compliance requirements, including the handling of hazardous materials and maintaining appropriate documentation.

- Identifies potential risks to the supply chain and puts measures in place to mitigate them.

- Builds dashboards and reports to track performances in real-time, analyzes data, and identifies areas for optimization and improvement.

- Ensures the ingredient costs are updated in ERP Systems.

Skills
- Organized and possesses project management skills.

- Self-motivated, and capable of working independently and collaboratively with other team members.
- Computer proficiency including knowledge of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software systems.

- Industry knowledge of logistics and supply chain technology, including procurement software, transportation management systems, and warehouse management systems.

- Understanding process optimization techniques such as Six Sigma, lean manufacturing, and continuous improvement methodologies.

- Calculate and convert ingredient quantities required for manufacturing and supplier orders.

- Proficient in MS Office Suite, including Excel.

- Data analytical skills and attention to detail.

- Problem solving skills, capable of identifying and addressing issues as they occur.

Education and Experience

- Certificate or Associate degree required, with a focus of study in supply chain management, business, or office technology.

- Bachelor's degree preferred, in logistics, supply chain management, business administration, accounting, or related fields.

- A minimum of 2-3 years of relevant experience is required.

- Solid understanding of the supply chain process, including operations, transportation, and warehouse management.

- Experience working with suppliers, vendors, and contract manufacturers.

- Experience handling inventory and demand planning.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
