The Compensation Analyst helps manage and improve the company’s pay programs to ensure they are competitive, fair, and aligned with business goals. This role works with HR and business leaders to analyze pay data, create salary structures, and support incentive programs.
This is a full-time position in our Phoenix, AZ office with a hybrid work schedule.

This information reflects a base salary range that AssetMark reasonably expects to pay for the position based on a number of factors which may include job-related knowledge, skills, education, experience, and actual work location. This position will also be eligible for additional variable incentive compensation and competitive benefits.

Responsibilities:
Data Analysis:
- Analyze pay data (salary, bonuses, incentives) to ensure competitiveness
- Perform audits to ensure pay data is accurate and compliant
- Use market surveys to provide insights on pay trends
- Prepare reports and recommend pay adjustments
- Help design and maintain salary structures and job classifications
- Ensure pay structures are fair and competitive
- Review pay policies and suggest updates
- Support the design and management of bonus and incentive programs, including sales compensation
- Assist with the merit increase process, ensuring fairness
- Work with leadership to attract and retain talent through competitive pay strategies
- Evaluate job roles and recommend pay adjustments
- Compare pay data to the market to ensure competitiveness
- Ensure compliance with pay-related laws and regulations
- Prepare compensation reports and audits
- Provide clear communication on pay policies and programs
- Answer compensation-related questions from employees
- Use data to recommend improvements in pay structures
- Help improve employee engagement through effective compensation
- Support the annual review process, including merit increases and bonuses
- Strong analytical and organizational skills
- Proficiency in Excel (formulas, pivot tables)
- Good communication skills
- Ability to handle confidential data
- Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, or a related field
- Certification in compensation (e.g., CCP) is a plus
- 2-4 years in compensation analysis or HR
- Understanding of compensation practices and market trends
- Experience with compensation software is a plus
