Assist Services has immediate openings for construction-based Traffic Flaggers working in the Eighty-Four, PA area. ASL works all phases of traffic control and flagging for roadway utility work.
As a Traffic Flagger, you will be responsible for setting up safe work zones for our customers and controlling the flow of traffic on roadways.
*All work is performed from company vehicles*
*All equipment, trainings, and PPE provided*
No experience is required but our customers have strict guidelines and safety requirements, and you must be willing and able to learn.
Daily Job Responsibilities:
- Safely set up road signs, traffic cones, and/or any other equipment to direct traffic around the work area.
- Control oncoming traffic with signs to ensure the road crews are able to operate safely.
- Be knowledgeable of the surrounding roads, so oncoming traffic could be further directed, if they were to stop and ask.
- Communicate with crew members over radios, through hand signals, or flags.
- Follow all company policies and procedures to ensure your safety as well as the safety of those on the roadways.
Candidates Must Be Able To:
- Work 12 – 14-hour shift
- Travel out of state for days at a time
- Be able to stand or sit for extended periods of time
- Lift up to 50 pounds (occasionally)
- Be outside in weather elements for extended periods of time
- Have a valid Driver’s License with clean driving record (NO DUI’s or excessive points)
- Pass a standard criminal background check, work verification check, 10-panel drug screen, and fit for duty physical
