Job Description: This position has primary responsibility for recruiting and staffing caregiver candidates. This includes: prescreening of caregiver applicants, interviewing, onboarding new hires, employee compliance, training and working alongside the scheduling coordinator for Assisting Hands. In addition, this role will be responsible for sourcing candidates through job postings and in-field outreach. This position involves extensive administrative and telephone work, follow-up and interaction with caregivers.
Education: Associates or bachelor’s degree preferred, however, three years of staffing or HR related experience will be considered in lieu of formal education.
Qualifications: Excellent interpersonal, relationship-building skills, communication (both written and verbal), as well as telephone competency.
Reports to: Administrator
Primary Duties of Staffing Coordinator:
1. Sourcing caregiver candidates through job posts and outreach
2. Interviewing, selection, and onboarding of new caregivers
3. Managing employee compliance – ensure Illinois Department of Public Health regulatory compliance requirements are met and documented for new caregivers, as well as updated for existing caregivers
4. Responsible for training caregivers prior to going out in the field
5. Responsible for termination and exit paperwork
6. Participates in on-call rotation (evening, weekends & holidays) – answering phone calls and making sure caregivers are clocking into their scheduled shifts
7. Participates in hands-on field operations ( caregiver responsibilities) as needed.
Secondary Duties of Staffing Coordinator:
1. Serve in caregiver role in the event of an understaffed caregiver pool
Hours: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday (on call rotating weekends, evenings, holidays)
Salary: $45,000 -$52,000 based on experience and qualifications.
Paid Vacation: After 60 days of employment, this position is eligible to accrue up to 2 weeks (80 hours) of earned paid time off (PTO) per calendar year
Benefits: Cell phone allowance ($25 bi-weekly), 401k with match up to 4% (eligible after 1 year of service) and health care benefits (eligible 1st of the month after 60 days of start), and travel mileage reimbursement when in the field. Eligible for discretionary bonus. You will be provided with a company laptop, which will remain company property and must be returned upon separation from employment.
