We are seeking a motivated and experienced Production Manager to join our dynamic team in the roofing industry. As a Production Manager, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing and optimizing production processes, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role will involve leading field crews, managing project timelines, coordinating materials and resources, and ensuring adherence to safety and compliance regulations. You will also be responsible for monitoring project progress, addressing challenges, and implementing improvements to enhance productivity and efficiency.
Your expertise will be critical in driving operational excellence, managing project logistics, and working closely with cross-functional teams including project managers, subcontractors, and suppliers. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to contribute to the company's growth by overseeing key administrative tasks such as maintaining accurate records, scheduling maintenance agreements, and assisting with job estimates.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Oversight: Lead and manage daily production activities, ensuring job tasks are completed on time and within budget. Coordinate with project managers to create detailed schedules, work orders, and foreman’s packages.
- Team Leadership: Lead, manage, and train field workers and subcontractors. Foster a collaborative and productive team environment while ensuring that safety guidelines and quality standards are maintained.
- Resource and Material Management: Oversee the procurement of materials and equipment for projects. Schedule and manage all job materials, ensuring timely delivery and cost-effectiveness. Approve major purchases over a certain amount in coordination with senior staff.
- Quality Control and Safety Compliance: Promote a culture of safety across all teams and job sites.
- Technical Support: Provide remote assistance for troubleshooting technical field application issues and help solve on-site challenges as they arise.
- Project Reporting & Documentation: Maintain accurate records of project progress, time, and materials for the service department. Track project metrics and implement improvements based on performance data.
- Subcontractor Coordination: Oversee subcontractor performance and assist in the scheduling and coordination of subcontractors across multiple job sites.
- Client Interaction & Communication: Represent the company professionally in interactions with clients and stakeholders. Ensure clear, consistent communication with internal teams and external partners.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Production Manager or similar role in the roofing or construction industry.
- Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and direct a diverse workforce.
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities, with experience handling multiple projects simultaneously.
- Ability to work well in a team setting.
- Solid understanding of roofing processes, materials, safety regulations, and industry best practices.
- Proficiency in Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc.) and project management software (such as AccuLynx, JobNimbus, Service Titan).
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to liaise with internal and external stakeholders.
- Experience with scheduling, procurement, and managing job-site logistics.
- OSHA 10 or 30 certification (preferred)
- CRM experience (e.g., AccuLynx, JobNimbus) is a plus.
- A valid CSL or other relevant licenses or certifications is a plus.
Salary : $75,000 - $95,000
