Contractor Sought
Associated Couriers is looking for a dependable and professional Commercial Driver's License with Hazmat Endorsement contractor courier for the following:

o    Routed Deliveries - Varying routes that normally have a set recurring schedule to them. **NOTE: routes may change unexpectedly based on customer needs

o    STAT/On-Demand - Last-minute pickups and orders dispatched from a route manager or customer 

o    Backup/Standby - Fill-in for route voids

Services Sought
For this contract, you will be picking up and delivering pharmaceuticals, medical therapies, generators, and medical supplies.
 

Coverage Sought
 

Reliable independent contractors with a Transit Van or Cargo Van and availability to run orders:

Sunday through Thursday
6pm to 5am 
Approx. 500 miles per day

Contractor Commissions

o    Earned in one or more of the following ways: per mile, per route, per stop (plus variable fuel surcharge in some of our markets)

o    Earned weekly through our third-party pay administrator Openforce

o    Specific commission details to be discussed in the pre-contracting process

Requirements for Contract

o    Per insurance requirements, eligible contractors will be between 21 and 75 years of age

o    Have valid and current Commercial Driver's License Class A, B, or C

o    Have valid and current DOT Hazmat Endorsement

o    Have valid and current DOT Med Card

o    Attentive to detail

o    Be able to consistently lift up to 100 lbs

o    Have available hours of service to cover the required availability noted above for this contract

o    Live within 25 miles to zip code 72301

o    Own a reliable and registered Transit Van or Cargo Van that would be used for this contract (2009 or newer)

o    Have and maintain state minimum requirements for bodily injury and property damage as primary auto insurance

o    At your choice: maintain your own qualifying workers' compensation insurance or participate in the Occupational Accident Insurance program for a weekly fee

o    Be able to complete contractor-qualifying screenings and online delivery preparation modules

o    Have a clean driving record with no more than 2 moving violations or at fault accidents in the last three years

o    Have a smartphone to use for GPS order tracking and order scanning

o    Willing to drive in inclement weather to service our customers

o    Adherence to customer required professional appearance standards:

§  Solid white and/or royal blue polo shirt

§  Solid colored pants (no athletic wear or sweatpants)

§  Comfortable shoes/boots (no flip-flops, high heels, sandals, etc)

§  1099-Contractor ID prominently displayed (supplied by Associated Couriers)

Our 1099 contracts are offered to interested and qualifying contractors on a first come, first served basis. As such, time is of the essence in completing the pre-contracting process as soon as possible. The process to contract with Associated Couriers takes approximately 2-5 days start to finish. Because of the high volume of interest we receive for our contracts, we have a strict policy to select contractors out of the process once they have become inactive during the pre-contracting phase.
