From technical to operational to professional disciplines, our team brings a wide variety of skills, talents, and expertise to the table. We believe in both dedicating ourselves to excellence and investing in your growth.
Associated Electric Cooperative is seeking a Program Manager to lead our technology teams in delivering exceptional products and services to our users. This strategic role sits within the IT Business Office—a function launched by the CIO to drive agile transformation, mature our enterprise product management model, and elevate how we deliver value through IT. Two years into our journey, our teams have fully adopted Agile, co-developed a custom enterprise product management approach, and are preparing to launch a new enterprise tool that brings it all together. And we’re just getting started.
Now we’re looking for a leader to take us to the next level—someone who can shape and scale the practices that define modern, high-performing IT teams. If you’re passionate about Agile, energized by product thinking, and ready to build programs that drive consistency, alignment, and continuous improvement across delivery teams, this is your opportunity to make a lasting impact on how IT delivers value to the enterprise. If this excites you, we invite you to apply.
What you'll do:
As a Program Manager in the IT Business Office at Associated Electric Cooperative, you will shape and lead the strategic capabilities that elevate how Information Services plans, collaborates and delivers value. Focused on our Product and Service Delivery domain, you will be key in advancing Agile and product management maturity and enabling performance-driven execution across technology teams.
- Champion the adoption of a product management mindset across technology teams by setting maturity goals and objectives for product management in the enterprise, defining training and support services, and forming partnerships with organizations that can help elevate our performance.
- Lead the continuous improvement of Agile practices across IS, ensuring teams maintain a customer-first mindset, uphold established frameworks, and evolve without drifting from core Agile principles. Evolve Agile practices to unlock the full potential of product management and help teams deliver increasing value to the business. Define goals and objectives, manage the Agile program roadmap, and maintain key vendor relationships.
- Define and manage the enterprise business capability model, working with technology leaders to map business capabilities to products. Consult with teams to model, measure, and improve the performance of their products through capability-based planning, maturity assessments, and delivery metrics.
- Drive governance for delivery practices through engagement with the IT leadership organization, leadership of communities of practice, and other structures that support alignment, peer learning, and shared accountability across teams.
- Provide tooling to teams for service and product delivery. This includes owning the ServiceNow product and supporting developing and adopting other tools that help leaders drive digital excellence.
What you’ll need:
- An associate’s degree in a STEM field (or equivalent technical training/certifications) and 3 years of experience in leadership, program management, or a related role.
- Proven experience leading transformation initiatives in a matrixed organization, driving enterprise-level change across diverse teams and functions.
- Strong understanding of Agile frameworks and program governance, with hands-on experience managing enterprise platforms such as ServiceNow.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage senior leadership and influence decision-making.
- A customer-focused mindset and experience developing and implementing product management practices, aligning team priorities with strategic business outcomes.
