About the Role:
At Associated Fire Protection - Omaha, NE, we are looking for a skilled Technical Support Engineer Fire Protection to join our team. This role involves installing, maintaining, inspecting, and repairing critical fire alarm and special hazard systems to ensure the safety of buildings and their occupants.
Responsibilities:
- Perform installations, maintenance, inspections, and repairs of fire alarm and special hazard systems.
- Ensure all work adheres to industry standards and regulations.
- Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to accurately install systems.
- Maintain a safe and organized work environment.
- Conduct inspections and maintain fire extinguishers.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience in fire alarm, security, low voltage, and/or systems maintenance a plus.
- NICET I Certification in Fire Alarm Systems, Fire Alarm Test & Inspect, or Special Hazards (or equivalent certification like ESA CAT L1) preferred.
- Strong reading, writing, and math skills.
- Ability to work independently and follow instructions effectively.
- Ability to work safely in various environments, including construction sites.
