- Pharmacy Cashier / Clerk hourly wage range is $13.23-$14.70, depending on experience
- Assist the Pharmacist and Pharmacy Technicians in the operations of the pharmacy
- provide prescription product and appropriate customer service in compliance with federal and state laws and store policies and procedures.
- Pharmacy Cashiers operate customer sales register by processing individual customer purchases over the scanner or utilizing a scan gun; accurately reads and records prices for items which will not scan.
- Totals customer order; collects cash, checks, credit cards, gift certificates, and coupons from customers; and enters amount and type of payment in accordance with established company policies and procedures.
- Bags all products and affixes the receipt to the bag and places company stickers on items, which are not in bags.
- Responds to telephone requests from customers, physicians and vendors, within the scope of the law and defers to the pharmacist when necessary.
- Communicates and cooperates with peers, subordinates, managers, physicians, and customers in pharmacy related areas.
- Ensures timely implementation of company policies, procedures and programs; and enforces professional and operational standards, including compliance with legal regulations.
- Stocks pharmacy product order to specific bay locations.
- Maintains inventory levels to company goals, rotates stock, and utilizes RX return process.
- Other duties as assigned or requested.
- Pharmacy Cashier's have the ability to cooperate with others and work as part of a team.
- Ability to readily adapt to changes in schedule specifications, and work priorities as the business and customer needs demand.
- Must complete all required state, federal and company training programs. (i.e. HIPAA, I-pledge, etc.)
- Ability to speak and understand the spoken word in order to respond promptly to pages, requests, co-workers and customers
