Job Description
Professionals Associated is a Land Surveying Company located in Lincolnwood, IL performing land surveying services in the Chicagoland area. Our Land Surveying Division performs Plats of Survey, Alta, Topographic, Condominium, and various other types of land surveys. Our Construction Layout Division provides construction layout and surveying for all types of construction projects.
We are seeking an Illinois Licensed Land Surveyor in good standing to join our staff. The ideal candidate must have experience in and understanding of all types of surveys including but not limited to Boundary, Alta, Topographic, Condominium, and Construction Surveying. Must possess excellent people management and communication skills and an ability to work positively with personnel from the disciplines of surveying, engineering, construction, law and real estate. Field experience and knowledge of AutoCAD are necessary for consideration. Salary is commensurate with experience.
Responsibilities
Reviews work of field crews for quality and accuracy for all types of surveys being performed
Available to occasionally work in the field performing surveying tasks
Organizes and maintains survey job files (electronic and/or paper)
Prepares sketches as necessary prior to fieldwork
Prepares legal descriptions with minimal supervision
Prepares boundary survey calculations with minimal supervision
Reviews engineering plans for construction calculations
Reviews titles as necessary for survey related matters
Reviews completed legal descriptions
Ensures that the services being provided are the same as called for in the contract or proposal to the client
Prepares and monitors project schedules and timely completion of projects
Completes projects on time and within budgets
Monitors quality of plats, documents, and other deliverables
Maintain, monitor, and develop field and office survey standards
Manage staff and project workload and meet project deadlines
Effectively communicates with and keeps supervisor informed
Communicates closely with other disciplines and/or sub-consultants
Develop, maintain, and enhance relationships with existing clients
Works with passion and a positive attitude and cooperates toward the common goal

- Must be a Licensed Land Surveyor in good standing in the State of Illinois
- Strong work ethic and accountability
- Proven ability to work in a team environment
- Flexibility to work in an office environment and field environment
