Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Maintenance Person to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the functionality and safety of our facilities through effective maintenance practices. This role requires a strong understanding of electrical, plumbing, and general maintenance handy work. Several years prior experience is necessary with strong recommendations.
Duties
- Perform regular ticket services.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and organization protocols.
- Troubleshoot and repair building maintenance issues
- Maintain logging of tickets via Yardi system
- Field inquiries and work with the maintenance team led by the super to ensure things get fixed and problems get solved.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing maintenance requests from staff or clients in a timely manner.
- Turnover apartments by painting, prepping and repairing any minor issues.
- Document maintenance activities and report any significant issues to management.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in facilities maintenance or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of electrical, drywall, plumbing, roofing, and renovation.
- Ability to perform basic repairs.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively in English.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Previous supervisory experience is a plus but not required.
- Spanish is a bonus.
- Collaborate with the office and property manager to get things done in a timely manner.
