ARC, in partnership with Seattle Parks and Recreation, serves Seattle by offering access to licensed childcare and a variety of recreational and lifelong learning programs, classes, and activities. In this role, the Licensed Childcare Center Program Supervisor is responsible for supporting and assisting the Licensed Childcare Center Director with developing, implementing and managing all programing for ages 3-12 years old. The Licensed Childcare Program Supervisor will work in ratio to create a support, fun, safe, welcoming and inclusive environment for program participants and staff. The Licensed Childcare Program Supervisor will support the director with maintaining, establishing and strengthening positive relationships with parents, participants, and staff and will be the main point of contact for Seattle Parks and Recreation (SPR) staff in the absence of the director. Licensed Childcare Center Program Supervisor Responsibilities:
- Offers high quality early learning programming and adheres to the Washington Administration Codes (WACs) as defined by the Department of Children, Youth and Families (DCYF).
- Works collaboratively with the LCC Director, Department of Education and Early Learning (DEEL) staff and Early Achievers Coach to meet SPS/Pathways contract mandates.
- Assists director in mentoring, training, and coaching staff in the development and implementation of program
- Assists with the development and implementation of high-quality programming
- Leads and manages daily curriculum activities with a classroom of children
- Ensures that child to staff ratios are maintained (1:8 for preschool and 1:15 for school age) as much as possible to ensure that children are safe and accounted for.
Licensed Childcare Center Program Supervisor Qualifications:
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Must have an ECE state certificate or equivalent as approved and verified in the electronic workforce registry by DCYF (47 credits)
- Have two years of experience as a teacher of children in any age group enrolled in the early learning program and at least six months of experience in administration
- Minimum one year of supervisory experience
Schedule:
- Monday – Friday up to 40 hours per week
Pay:
- Starting pay: $33.00 - $35.06/hr
- Full Pay Range: $33.00 - $41.25/hr. Over time, the employee in this role may earn up to $41.25/hr with additional years of service
- Bonus paid in three $200 increments every three months.
