Job Details
The Pickleball Fitness Instructor at Garfield Community Center will lead sport-specific adult fitness classes to prepare students for pickleball and other racket sports such as tennis or badminton. Class objectives include gaining/building strength, mobility, and balance for improved gameplay of the sports, improving hand-eye coordination, and reduction of injuries.
Location: Garfield Community Center
Schedule:
- Thursdays from 9:15-10:15am for 6 weeks, April 24- May 29.
- Potential to teach this class at Garfield CC and other Centers in future quarters!
Start date: April 2025

Pay Rate: $24.50-$26.50
Programming Requirements
- Develop and deliver developmentally appropriate fitness plans and activities
- Plan and lead stretches, weight training, balance training and other fitness activities
- Daily set-up, take down and cleaning of space as needed
- Maintain inventory and request supplies as needed
- Complete required administrative reports, such as attendance and activity logs, and accident/incident reports
- Attend all required meetings and trainings
Care and Safety
- Complete required accident/incident forms if participants or instructors are injured
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- At least two years’ experience planning and supervising fitness recreational programs and/or educational activities for adults
- Experience building lesson plans, and leading and managing a classroom
- Must pass a WSP criminal background check.
Salary : $25 - $27
