Summer Learn to Row Coach (Mt Baker Rowing and Sailing)
Position Overview:
Mt. Baker Rowing and Sailing Center is looking for enthusiastic and passionate individuals to join our team as a Summer Learn to Row Coach for our Adult LTR program. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with beginner rowers, teaching them the fundamentals of rowing in a fun and supportive environment.
Summer Learn to Row Coach Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and coach beginner-level rowing classes for adults
- Teach proper rowing techniques, boat handling, and safety procedures
- Provide individualized feedback to help athletes improve their skills
- Foster a positive and encouraging atmosphere for all participants
- Ensure the safety and well-being of all athletes during practices and events
- Assist with equipment maintenance and facility upkeep as needed
Summer Learn to Row Coach Qualifications:
- Prior rowing experience is preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work with individuals of all skill levels and ages
- Must be able to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- A positive, team-oriented attitude and strong work ethic
- Current First Aid/CPR certification is preferred (can be obtained upon hire)
- Boaters license required
Start Date: June 10
Schedule: Tues/Thurs 5:30AM-7:30AM, Saturdays 7:30-9:30AM, exception of Seafair week
Pay:
- Starting pay: $21.84
- Full Pay Range: $21.84 - $24.52/hour (Over time, the employee in this role may earn up to $21.52/hr with additional years of service)
