Associated Students (AS) is a comprehensive campus auxiliary corporation of CSU, Chico serving thousands of students, faculty, staff and community members through myriad student programs, services and business enterprises. AS operates residential and retail dining services, the Bell Memorial Union (BMU), and the Wildcat Recreation Center (WREC). Additionally, the AS offers a wide variety of services and programs such as: CAVE (Community Action Volunteers in Education), the Child Development Lab, Adventure Outings, Operation Programs and Services (OPS), Sustainability and student government.
Associated Students is now hiring for the position of AS Presents Student Ambassador. This is a part-time, non-benefited student position that will work no more than 20 hours per week while school is in session. The hours for this position will fluctuate from week to week and are event driven. There are no guaranteed number of hours. The pay rate is $16.50 per hour. The schedule for this position is based upon department needs and is subject to change at any time. To be eligible for student employment, you must be enrolled at CSU, Chico and maintain at least 6 units (undergraduate student) or 4 units (graduate student) throughout the course of employment.

SUMMARY
The aim of the Student Event Ambassador position is to increase awareness and engagement for both virtual and in-person AS events. Our goal is to provide our event participants with a consistently high level of engaging activities and create a positive experience through our events. Student Event Ambassadors will play a crucial role in event outreach, set-up, take down, and participation during events. Individuals in this position will be highly motivated, welcoming to other students, personable, and enjoy speaking with others.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
The AS lead ambassador and AS ambassadors will work in a team collaborative environment to spread awareness of AS programs, facilities, and events. Under the supervision of the AS Presents Coordinator, they will provide a positive attitude, friendly customer service, an inclusive mindset, and an approachable experience to all students and community members on campus. These positions will focus heavily on attending AS events and outreach that may include but is not limited to;
• Hanging up posters, whiteboard glizting, doing craft projects and event preparation for events, making buttons/stickers, giving classroom talks, content strategies, and spreading the word on campus about AS events
• Classroom talks could include but is not limited to; speaking with academic groups, clubs, fraternities/sororities, campus organizations/resources, student government officers, sharing events with the Chico State community on/off campus, etc.
• Tabling on campus and in AS Facilities (playing fun music, engaging with the campus community, etc.)
• Potentially working preparation and clean up for AS events
• Participate and be in social media pushes and content with the support of the marketing team
• This position will have a large focus on outreach before, during and after events to increase engagement and partnership for AS events, gather feedback from students and assess our event programs.
• Attend weekly AS Presents team meetings
• Communication to supervisor on events and tabling shifts is essential.
•Actively participate in events to promote and encourage others to participate during events.
•Complete all feedback forms pertaining to events attended and assist with the post event debriefs to measure success. You will provide feedback and share
