ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Perform various corrective and preventive electrical and equipment maintenance to ensure safe, efficient, and effective operations
- Develop, analyze and review a variety of operational reports and electrical schematics to examine equipment usage, electrical preventative maintenance, efficiency, quality, safety and other areas; and work to implement operational changes as required.
- Assist in developing operating policies and procedures to ensure the efficient use of resources and maintain a safe work environment.
- Ensure electrical maintenance schedules, quality initiatives, safety targets, efficiency metrics, and other operational measurements are met for the electrical maintenance functions.
- Ensure compliance with department policies and procedures and applicable laws, rules, and regulations.
- Implement and monitor projects that impact specific functions to ensure objectives and timelines are met and work with management or other personnel as required completing tasks.
- Assist with reviewing and coordinating general operations with all other functional areas.
- May perform various corrective and preventive electrical maintenance and repair work that will involve skills within several of the following areas: mechanical, hydraulic, welding, and other skilled trades depending on operational needs.
- Report ALL incidents through company’s reporting protocol
- Support company safety initiatives

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum of 1 year of industrial electrical maintenance experience
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
- High school or equivalent
- Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in Engineering or Operations Management is preferred.
SKILL/ KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be able to read/write/communicate in English
- Able to use basic math skills
- Must be able to follow directions
- Performing applicable electrical maintenance activities safely and efficiently
- Reviewing and updating applicable electrical schematics and computer programs as necessary
- Developing preventative electrical maintenance programs
- Applying basic operational principles and practices
- Developing electrical maintenance operating policies and procedures
- Developing and analyzing applicable electrical maintenance reports
- Working with other functions throughout the organization
- Investigating and resolving electrical maintenance problems
- Ensuring compliance with department policies and procedures and applicable laws, rules, and regulations
- PC skills; Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook); and other applicable applications
- Communicating with co-workers to provide and receive direction
- Ability to work extended hours, including holidays, weekends, and rotating shifts as needed

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Incumbent will work in all weather conditions ranging from warm/hot-cool/cold as well as occasional rain. Will work at different elevations, noise levels will be moderate-high. Job site will contain light to heavy equipment vehicles, small to large equipment, materials, communication equipment, and tools. Rotational shift work required. Twelve or more hours per day spent in work environment.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
The physical nature of the work will vary from day to day based on operational needs; however the job will require the incumbent to be able to perform: climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, typing, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, seeing, and repetitive motion. Incumbent will also be required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) including, but not limited to: Hard Hat, eyewear, safety vests, gloves, masks/ respirators (when necessary) and steel-toe boots.
Very Heavy Work: Exerting in excess of 100 lbs. of force occasionally, and/ or in excess of 50 lbs. frequently, and/ or in excess of 20 lbs. of force constantly to move objects.
