Responsibilities
- Ensure the safe operation of all equipment.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment issues using repair manuals, schematics, diagrams, and specifications.
- Develop and analyze operational reports to assess equipment usage, preventative maintenance, efficiency, and quality.
- Assist in developing operating policies and procedures to optimize resource use and maintain a safe work environment.
- Ensure maintenance schedules, quality initiatives, safety targets, and efficiency metrics are achieved.
- Comply with department policies, procedures, and applicable laws and regulations.
- Implement and monitor projects that impact specific functions.
- Perform corrective and preventive maintenance and repair work.
- Support company safety initiatives and report all incidents through the company’s reporting protocol.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year of industrial maintenance experience; experience in the stevedoring industry is preferred.
- High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in Engineering or Operations Management is preferred.
- Proficiency in English and basic math skills.
- Ability to develop preventative maintenance programs and operational policies and procedures.
- Experience with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Ability to work extended hours, including holidays, weekends, and rotating shifts as needed.
- Physical fitness to perform all essential physical demands of this job safely.
- Commitment to customer service and ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
