Summary
As a Senior Business Analyst, you will serve as a strategic partner in driving data informed decision making across the organization. You will lead the design and implementation of advanced analytics solutions, mentor junior analysts, and work cross functionally with business and IT leaders to align data strategy with business objectives. Your deep expertise in Power BI, data modeling, and analytical storytelling will elevate the organization’s ability to transform insights into impactful action. Key Responsibilities
- Lead strategic analytics initiatives that uncover opportunities for growth, efficiency, and innovation.
- Partner with business leaders to proactively identify problems and develop solutions that align with strategic goals.
- Design scalable dashboards and self-service tools in Power BI for enterprise-wide use.
- Mentor and provide technical guidance to Analysts I and II, helping elevate the overall skillset of the analytics team.
- Act as a liaison between business units and IT/Data Engineering to ensure cohesive, end to end delivery of solutions.
- Facilitate cross functional working sessions, data discovery workshops, and stakeholder training sessions.
- Conduct feasibility studies for new business ideas and guide development of predictive and prescriptive models.
- Establish data governance practices and promote a data driven culture across the organization.
- Provide executive level insights and storytelling through analytics, presenting findings to senior leadership.
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field; master's degree preferred.
- 5 years of relevant experience in business analytics, with a strong portfolio of Power BI dashboards and strategic projects.
- Advanced proficiency in Power BI Desktop (data modeling, DAX, custom visuals) and other BI tools (MicroStrategy, Tableau, etc.).
- Strong SQL skills and experience with ETL tools like Alteryx.
- Experience in mentoring and/or leading cross functional analytics teams.
- Proven ability to communicate complex data concepts clearly to executive and non-technical audiences.
- Demonstrated experience working within Agile environments and managing end to end solution delivery.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Expert level proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Access.
- Mastery in Power BI, Business Objects, and experience working with syndicated data (e.g., Nielsen, Circana, Numerator).
- Familiarity with Unify and other enterprise analytics platforms.
- Strong command of statistical analysis and advanced data storytelling techniques.
- Ability to lead large, complex, cross departmental projects from ideation to delivery.
- Capable of managing multiple high impact initiatives simultaneously under tight deadlines.
- A self-starter with executive presence and the ability to influence decision making at senior levels.
- Skilled at mentoring junior analysts, fostering team growth, and promoting best practices in data visualization and analytics.
- Comfort with ambiguity and shifting priorities in a fast-paced business environment.
