Business Analyst:
We are looking for a Business Analyst to join our Development team. This role will critically evaluate information gathered from Fortune 500 clients, decompose high-level information into details, summarize technical details and share them both written and verbally with non-technical staff, and distinguish user requests from underlying true needs. This role will also be responsible for proactively communicating and collaborating with Development, Client Success, and Product Owners to ensure use case and test case documentation is complete. This role will act as the Subject Matter Expert for the application/technology solutions and related business processes.
What You Will Do for Us:
- Liaison between operations and development teams, accountable for all requirements to build functional software, ensuring there are no gaps between business requirements and what is being delivered by development teams.
- Gather and document detailed requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria for product and process enhancements.
- Perform customer business needs analysis.
- Interpret and translate customer business needs into functional specifications.
- Participate in Integration Testing, UAT and Functionality testing.
- Validate the data to ensure accuracy in the output, generate descriptive statistics, and extract insights.
- Create and document test plans that meet the acceptance criteria and intent of user stories.
- Proactively communicate with team members including recommendations to resolve issues.
- Support go-to-market/launch and training plans, working with marketing, operations, and development teams.
- Write supporting documentation for the software such as recommendations for taking the project to production and anything learned during the proof of concept that can help the production resource successfully move the project forward.
- Actively implement continuous improvement for business analysis processes.
- Understand business impacts of issues and how they relate to IT owned solutions.
- Provide reliable solutions to a wide range of difficult problems including evaluation of new technologies to improve existing functions.
What You Will Bring to Us:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, or Information Technology.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar client interfacing role.
- Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment.
- Excellent documentation skills for entering information into a ticketing system.
- Demonstrate strong and effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills in a cross-functional setting.
- Analytical thinker and problem solver.
- Demonstrate the ability to work independently with a high degree of competency.
- Demonstrate ability to work effectively in cross-functional groups and generate results. Must be able to excel in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities.
- Demonstrate understanding of SDLC processes and methodologies and adherence to set standards.
- Ability to work onsite in our Overland Park, KS office minimum 3 days per week.
Preferred skills/experience:
- Ability to write SQL queries.
- Business Acumen.
- Green Belt Six Sigma given priority candidacy.
- Proven knowledge of the scrum process.
- Solid understanding of basic relational database architecture.
