POSITION SUMMARY: Responsible for administrative and clerical support for the truck & trailer maintenance shop, vendor relations, and accounting procedures.

POSITION SUMMARY: Responsible for administrative and clerical support for the truck & trailer maintenance shop, vendor relations, and accounting procedures.
DESCRIPTION OF WORK & ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Receive phone calls from multiple lines.
- Shipping and receiving for garage area.
- Maintain maintenance records
- Maintain parts, fuel, and tire inventory in Datastream/Infor database.
- Issue and track purchase orders for expenses.
- Accounts receivable for work performed on 3 rd party equipment.
- Accounts payable for transportation
- Expense reporting and control on a weekly, period, and annual basis
- Fuel purchasing, price negotiation, and reconciliation
- Environmental and OSHA recordkeeping and inspection tracking
- Report inventory, usage expense, and accruals at period end to accounting mngr.
- Maintain DOT files according to regulations.
- Perform physical inventories as required.
- Assist with road break down calls from drivers.
- Manage Concur expense reports for garage purchases.
- Licensing and registration of fleet and upkeep of annual renewals.
Any combination of education, training and experience providing the following knowledge, skills, and abilities.
- Knowledge: General understanding of accounting procedures and mathematics. Extended knowledge of computer operation and inventory management. Strong Excel and Google Sheets skill.
- Abilities: Excelled in keyboarding and 10-key skills, strong ability to communicate effectively, multi-task, accurately operate inventory systems, spreadsheets, and reporting programs. Must be able to meet deadlines and maintain reporting on a scheduled basis.
- Experience, Education and Training: High School Diploma. Experience with basic computer operating systems, inventory database system experience helpful, experience with accounting procedures and record keeping as well as handling multiple lines.
- Physical Requirements: Perform daily bending, lifting, walking long distances, and reaching.
- Working Environment: Indoors and outdoors as needed. Exposure to diesel fumes on occasion.
