Regional Accountant
The Regional Accountant will support the divisional accounting activities for the South/East Region, working closely with Accounting staff to analyze financial statements and prepare period-end journal entries.
Responsibilities:
- Timely preparation and analysis of weekly financials
- Review and analysis of period-end financial results and variances
- Accurate completion of account reconciliations in compliance with company policy
- Maintenance of knowledge of various systems and software to translate financial impact
- Monitoring and ensuring compliance with evolving accounting guidance across the organization
- Assistance with financial aspects of projects and initiatives, including budgeting and variance analysis
- Collaboration with business areas to identify opportunities for improvements and efficiencies
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and working knowledge of other Microsoft Office applications
- Knowledge of SCM, PeopleSoft, and Monarch preferred
- Ability to work effectively in developing productive relationships with various people at all levels of the organization
- Strong analytical, written, and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and relocate may be necessary for future advancement opportunities
