What are the responsibilities and job description for the Clinic Manager position at Associates in Family Practice?
Experienced PCP Clinic manager for our entire team in three locations. Ideal candidate must be a team leader, motivational, excellent vast medical knowledge, must be able to multi-task, plan and prioritize, interact effectively with staff and providers. Must be able to travel to three locations.
- Proficient in administrative tasks, such as updating patient records and creating an efficient schedule
- Strong interpersonal skills for talking to patients, healthcare providers, and insurance companies
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to multi-task and manage time well
- Great analytical and decision-making skills
- Able to lead and motivate a team confidently
- Knowledge of medical terminology, and provincial/territorial and federal regulations
- Understanding of finances to create and monitor a budget
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Oversee daily clinic operations
- Develop, implement, and monitor the clinic’s budget
- Take inventory, and order necessary supplies and equipment
- Hire and train new employees
- Create new policies and procedures and ensure they make staff aware of new changes
- Supervise staff and complete routine performance reviews
- Ensure the healthcare facility is following provincial/territorial and federal healthcare regulations
- Update patient medical records
- Answer telephones, route calls, take messages, and provide general information; greet and direct visitors and patients and answer routine inquiries.
- Perform a variety of routine clerical duties
- Establishes, maintains, processes, and/or updates files, records, and/or other documents.
- Prepare patient charts for appointments.
- Call patients to remind of scheduled appointment the day prior to the appointment.
- Schedules clinic appointments both by phone and in person. Accommodates unscheduled (walk-in) patients as appropriate.
- Check in patients for appointments.
- Updates patient information as needed. Verifies patient documentation regarding notices, insurance and financial information.
- Receives payments and enters payments in the computerized billing system.
- Provide translation/interpretation as needed (if applicable).
- Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $38.00 - $50.00 per hour
