Associates in Gastroenterology is a well-established, independent, gastroenterology practice with two locations in Colorado Springs, CO. The practice is comprised of 10 full-time Gastroenterologists, along with 8 advanced practice providers who provide expert, efficient and high level specialist consultation to a wide network of patient referrals.

We are seeking to hire a full-time nurse practitioner or physician assistant to assist with outpatient care and inpatient care.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

· Conducting outpatient and inpatient consultations and follow up care for a variety of acute and chronic GI conditions (GERD, PUD, diverticular disease, IBD, liver diseases, IBS etc.)

· Pre-procedure evaluation and instruction as well as post procedure follow up

· Providing patient education and support via office visits, EMR, and telephone

· Maintaining excellent communication with our physicians, referring physicians, other consultants and our office staff

· Maintaining a strong knowledge base of gastrointestinal conditions and treatment strategies

Skills Needed:

· Excellent independent clinical decision making, while working with all physicians within a team approach framework

· Strong sense of responsibility and willingness to go above and beyond to help patients and other members of the health team

· Superb interpersonal skills- a “people person”, empathetic listener, upbeat and articulate with a strong sense of curiosity, desire and drive to learn. Adaptability to a dynamic, fast-paced setting

Candidate must have:

· Graduate of an accredited NP or PA program with national certification

· NP or PA licensure in Colorado. DEA number (application in progress acceptable)

· Two years internal medicine, family practice, or gastroenterology experience

· Background check and pre-employment drug screen will be required

Job Type: Full-time Position, 36-40 hours per week, no evening, no weekend, no holidays. Salaried position (commensurate with experience), competitive benefits package includes CME and malpractice coverage.

Pay: $115,000.00 - $128,000.00 per year
