What are the responsibilities and job description for the Design Engineer/Designer position at Associates Systems LLC?
Designer Engineer/Designer
- Create Prints based on customer requirements using SolidWorks
- Manage Engineering Change and Design Review files
- Create cost estimated based on customer designs.
- Work with shop floor personnel to improve existing prints.
- Create and maintain Bill of Materials (BOM)
- Work with Production manager to improve production processes
- Create and maintain Process Routings
- Develop cost reduction initiatives to reduce material, labor, scrap, and overhead costs.
- Demonstrated knowledge and ability to execute using an MRP/ERP system.
- Demonstrated ability in using manufacturing tools and processes to drive continuous improvement across complex organizations.
- AS or BS Degree.
- Solidworks experience
- Drafting / 3D Modeling Experience
- General Understanding of Manufacturing
