Autism Interventionist / Community-Based Support :
THIS HYBRID POSITION : Please note that there is no physical office in Peabody. This position involves travel to client homes - generally those within 20-60 minutes of Peabody. (See below for compensation of travel time and mileage reimbursement.) This position also involves tasks that can be done from one's home office.

This unique opportunity offers flexibility and truly makes a difference in our clients’ lives. We call our team of Autism Interventionists “Support Partners,” and the key responsibilities are to :
Visit 1 : 1 with clients at their home, in the community, at our office, and / or over video chat (in an 8 hour day, this is usually 2-3 visits, depending on the length and distance of each)
Collaborate with Clinical Case Managers to implement support activities in accordance with LifeNet Support Plans
Develop trusting relationships with clients while maintaining boundaries
Monitor clients' health and living environments, reporting any concerns
Co-host or host social events to promote peer connections
Attend virtual meetings with colleagues each week
Document case notes accurately

Our Autism Interventionist “Support Partners” work closely with team members to provide individualized long-term support to each of our LifeNet adults in a collaborative, strengths-based, person-centered way. You will become a highly valued part of our team and build meaningful connections that make a difference in the lives of the adults we work with. The work itself is dynamic, flexible, and fun! In fact, a typical visit with a client can vary so greatly, here is a short list of only some examples of how our team shares meaningful time with clients :
Going for walks and helping the client explore their neighborhood
Cooking a meal together or going shopping
Problem-solving getting locked out of an online account
Opening mail and determining what’s important and what’s junk!
Talking about, researching, and / or attending social or community activities
Practicing strategies for becoming organized with IADLs (instrumental activities of daily living, like grocery shopping and taking medications)
Going to a concert or meaningful activity for the client

Requirements :
Preferred : 1-2 years of personal, professional, and / or experience supporting Autistic adults(or similar / transferable experience such as adults with mental health diagnoses)
Ability to commute within one hour of your home (the program will work to minimize driving time when possible - this time is also compensated in accordance with employee policies and mileage is reimbursed at federal rate)
Willingness to accompany LifeNet adults in independent living responsibilities at their homes and in the community
Comfort engaging in various interests and topics with clients
Strong interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving skills
Valid driver's license, clean record, and reliable vehicle
Willingness to undergo background checks
Salary & Benefits :
Compensation : starts at $22-25 / hour (part-time, full-time, and / or part-time to full-time may be available)

Who we are looking for :
We are searching for a supported housing counselor to join our growing team at LifeNet, an independent living support program for Autistic adults. This unique opportunity offers support staff flexibility in thinking outside of the box and truly making a difference in our clients’ lives. In this role you will serve in a variety of capacities to support someone in living the life they want including helping an adult :
browse at a record store or comic book shop
plan for timing, invitations, and snacks to have some friends over to watch movies or sports
learn to cook a favorite meal
venture to a local gym to check out exercise class options
sort and prioritize mail
plan for and attend a medical appointment
Our counselors work closely with team members to provide individualized support to each of our LifeNet adults in a collaborative, strengths-based, person-centered way.
