Overview:  :  Association for Energy Affordability (AEA) is a rapidly growing nonprofit energy services and training organization dedicated to achieving energy efficiency in buildings to foster and maintain affordable and healthy housing and communities.  Energy consulting services are completed through AEA’s participation in a variety of federal, state, and local energy efficiency initiatives.  AEA is a New York based organization, with over 20 years of industry experience and has been operating a West Coast office since 2010.  For more information about AEA, see http://www.aea.us.org.

 

 

Position Summary:  AEA West is seeking an IT Technician who is highly organized, detail-oriented, and self-driven individual to join our tight-knit, talented team of energy professionals. This role is responsible for maintaining the overall IT systems, including hardware, software, and current systems in place, while ensuring seamless onboarding and offboarding processes. The IT Technician will also implement and monitor security protocols to safeguard our systems and data.

 

The role involves conducting training sessions to enhance users' understanding of technology resources, facilitating project equipment distribution across the state, and managing our inventory. The ability to create and improve processes and communicate them to the general staff. Given the independent nature of the role, they are expected to be a self-starter, an independent problem solver, and a strong team-player.

 

AEA is hiring for an IT Technician to be present in our Emeryville office a minimum of 3 days a week.

Responsibilities:

 The IT Technician may be expected to assist with:

  • Oversee the setup and configuration of all hardware and software for new hires, and manage the collection and reallocation of equipment during the offboarding process, ensuring a smooth transition and optimal resource utilization.
  • Providing comprehensive technical support to end-users, troubleshooting and resolving hardware, software, issues in a timely manner.
  • Develop and maintain detailed documentation of IT processes and procedures, and conduct training sessions to enhance users' understanding and efficient use of technology resources.
  • Facilitate project equipment distribution to employees across the state and managing our inventory in office and storage units/pods

Qualifications


Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or an Associate Degree.
  • 2 related experience in a related role.
  • Advance knowledge of Microsoft 365 (administration preferred)
  • Experience with remote access software
  • Knowledge of Zoom, Slack, and Adobe installing and configuration
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to bring together various resources to work together collaboratively.

Additional Desirable Qualifications:.

  • Basic knowledge of Bluebeam, Energy Pro, Webex, and Salesforce software’s
  • Experience with Salesforce

Must be able to legally work in the country where this position is located without visa sponsorship.
