New England Cancer Specialists, the largest independent oncology practice North of Boston, is seeking an experienced Vice President of Finance. The Vice President of Finance plans, organizes and directs all aspects of finance, revenue cycle and information technology. Ensures all areas of responsibility meet established objectives. Participates in and advises about business plans, new business development and contracting.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
- Provides timely and meaningful analysis and recommendations on all practice financial policies and processes including ensuring their smooth execution.
- Directs and presents financial reports and forecasts to the CFO and other senior leaders as directed per reporting deadlines.
- Partners with the CFO on the timely analysis of general economic, business, industry and financial trends and their impact upon the practice. Prepares timely financial projections (and assumptions) for use in the business planning process.
- Participates in the development of the practice’s cash flow, liquidity and other financial policies for the organization.
- Responsible for the timely preparation of the annual budget for the practice, including operating and capital budgets by location, service line, and provider.
- Develops company guidelines and provides financial analysis and guidance for effective contract negotiation.
- Represents the practice with regulatory agencies. Coordinates and collaborates with external auditors in the planning and preparation of year-end financial reports and statements.
- Supervises assigned staff per organization structure, ensuring functional objectives are met.
- Evaluates department operations and systems to maximize integration, technology and people.
- Develops new and improve existing business processes to assess organizational functional effectiveness for greater transparency, more accurate reporting and better identification of cost-saving opportunities.
- Recruits, coaches, develops, manages, motivates, evaluates and retains staff.
- Participates in community organizations and events; trade group meetings to remain current on industry issues.
