The Association of Former Students engages and inspires the Aggie Network for Texas A&M University in perpetuating the Aggie Spirit. Through our Annual Fund, as well as other revenue streams, we provide scholarships, endowments, emergency student loans, and awards for faculty. Our newest colleague will join our highly motivated Traveling Aggies Department team members in advancing our mission by providing excellent customer service and assisting with daily operations.

THE ROLE
The Travel Student Assistant performs data entry and general office duties, speaks with vendors in preparation for upcoming trips, and ensures timely responses to inquiries.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Reporting to the Manager of Traveling Aggies, support and assist the department through:
- Administrative support.
- Interface with future travelers and vendors via phone, email and in person.
- Manages time according to highest priorities.
- Assist with organization of upcoming trips.
- Perform related duties as assigned.

EMPLOYEES OF THE ASSOCIATION OF FORMER STUDENTS
- Participate in various Association-wide activities such as engagement and fundraising goals, internal event teams, task committees, attending gameday receptions, Distinguished Alumni Gala and other external events as required.
- Serve as an ambassador by meeting our Team Expectations, fostering relationships with students and other constituents of Texas A&M.

Requirements
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
Minimum Requirements:
- Proficient in MS Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
- Strong written and verbal skills.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Maintain focus while working under timeline pressure.
- Proficient word processing skills.
- Available to work 15 hours per week.
Preferred Requirements:
- Available to work 20 hours per week.
- Previous non-profit experience (as employee or volunteer).
- Previous customer service experience.
PHYSICAL CAPACITY REQUIREMENTS
Ability to sit or stand throughout the day. Seldom, but occasionally carrying up to 10 pounds.

EDUCATION & TRAINING
Required: Currently enrolled at Texas A&M University in College Station.
Preferred: Same as required, above, with at least two years remaining before graduation.
