Content Creation, Media Relations, & Digital Services Specialist

The Association of Towns of the State of New York (NYAOT) is seeking a creative, organized and motivated Content Creation, Media Relations and Digital Services Specialist to join its team in Albany, N.Y.

Reporting to the Director of Communications and Member Engagement, this position is responsible for creating, planning, editing, and sharing all written, video, audio, and social media content and analyzing the results of persuasive multimedia content that advances NYAOT’s message and amplifies its voice to its various audiences across many platforms and segments.

Expectations of the Content Creation, Media Relations, and Digital Services Specialist include:

· Manage website, including keeping it updated, providing metric reports and SEO services;

· Manage, develop and grow social media channels and increase NYAOT’s followers;

· Execute a content pillar strategy for message delivery;

· Manage NYAOT’s content library and archive;

· Create and edit photo and video content;

· Record and edit podcast;

· Manage A/V needs for NYAOT meetings, events and conferences;

· Maintain brand integrity online and in all media productions;

· Assist the Executive Director and NYAOT’s management team in unified messaging for marketing initiatives;

· Create and execute editorial calendars;

· Develop metrics for engagement and report on findings;

· Work closely with outside groups to develop co-branded or Association-specific communications materials; and

· Other responsibilities as necessary or assigned.

NYAOT is an equal opportunity employer and provides a competitive benefits and leave package, along with membership in the New York State and Local Retirement System. The salary range is $40,000 to $43,500 and is dependent on qualifications, experience and education, with a related two-year degree in the field preferred.
