ABOUT THE ROLE
Associations International is seeking an experienced Applications Support Technician to join our Technology Services team! In this role, you will provide technical support and assistance to users, ensuring the seamless operation of software applications. Responsibilities include configuring systems, troubleshooting issues, and optimizing application performance. You will collaborate closely with IT staff to resolve technical challenges and enhance overall functionality. The Applications Support Technician will report to the Senior Data Systems Manager.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide technical support to users for software applications
- Troubleshoot and resolve application-related issues
- Assist in the testing, design, and analysis of applications
- Formulate procedures and best practices for application users
- Coordinate with other IT staff to ensure timely resolution of issues
- Maintain documentation of application support processes and procedures
- Participate in the implementation of new systems and applications
- Provide training and support to users on application usage
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
- Associate degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- 0-1 year of experience in application support or a related role
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work under the close direction of senior personnel
- Knowledge of software applications and IT systems
- Experience with specific applications used within the organization: Association Management Systems like NetForum, Your Membership, MemberClicks, Microsoft 365, Adobe Acrobat, WordPress, Reporting software like Power BI or Tableau (preferred)
- Familiarity with IT support tools and systems
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
