Formal Education & Certification
Undergraduate college degree in RMI or related field. Equivalent experience will be considered.

Job Responsibilities
- Review incoming applications and all attachments
- Determine application acceptability
- Ensure compliance with industry and company policies
- Accurately perform multiple tasks within required timeframes
- Demonstrate understanding of regulatory/statutory requirements
- Properly utilize the policy management systems and understand their features and functionalities
- Process changes to policies, ensuring changes are within the underwriting guidelines
- Attend, participate, and contribute to department meetings
- Meet established department goals and objectives
- Organize work schedule to achieve timely processing of all responsibilities
- Respond to Agent and Insured incoming calls
- Willingly expend the necessary time beyond scheduled work hours to assist with deadlines
- Abide by all company or department policies
- Perform other duties as assigned by Underwriting Supervisor
- Provide strong team focus
Formal Education & Certification
Undergraduate college degree in RMI or related field. Equivalent experience will be considered.
Knowledge & Experience
- Minimum of 1 year of general insurance experience; and
- 1 year of personal lines experience; and
- Knowledge of underwriting principles and statutory requirements.
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced automated production environment.
- Excellent PC skills are required.
- Must have the ability to make autonomous decisions based on multiple facts.
- Works as a team player.
- Must be professional and maintain acceptable level of integrity and professionalism.
- Bi-lingual (English & Spanish) preferred
