Job Summary
The Substance Use Disorder Clinical Services Supervisor (SUDSCS) is responsible for
providing substance use treatment, assessment, evaluation, and referral services to youth in Wayne
County’s Juvenile Justice AFS. This includes, but is not limited to, conducting alcohol and other drug
(AOD) screens, administering the GAIN assessment, conducting substance abuse individual and group
counseling sessions, and supervising all master’s level and CAADC credentialed clinicians who deliver the
aforementioned services. The SUDSCS will report directly to the AFS’ Director of Substance Abuse
Services.
A Certified Clinical Supervisor – Michigan (CCS-M) or an approved Development Plan –
Supervisor (DP-S) is required. Also, an MA/MSW or related degree in mental health from an accredited
school and appropriate State of Michigan licensure is required. A valid CAADC a must. Three to five years
supervisory experience preferred. The ability to demonstrate a high value for accountability, accuracy
and reliability are a must. Must have exemplary organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail.
Strong and effective communication skills both written and verbal. Strong computer skills a must.
Must have knowledge of Systems of Care philosophy and principals.
