The Vice President, Pharmacy Business Development will be responsible for the development and management of pharmacy programs and products. This position will lead in the execution of new pharmacy programs, strategy, and vision for Keenan Pharmacy Solutions (KPS).
The Vice President will focus on key product pharmacy benefit projects from inception to launch, working at all levels within the product or program lifecycle. Primary focus is to lead the KPS business plan and objectives for AssuredPartners (AP), Accretive, and other KPS programs.
This position will also require in-depth Pharmacy Benefit Managers (PBMs) experience in operations, contracts, and programs that will measure up to existing subject matter experts within the KPS department.
What You'll Do
- Responsibilities include research, pricing, conceptualizing, translating market research and needs, mobilizing design teams, providing product content expertise for implementing and launching new products and enhancements.
- Responsible for building and maintaining relationships with key vendors and contacts to ensure the strategic direction goals are met.
- Stay abreast of the latest trends, developments, and innovations in the pharmacy industry, and identify opportunities for improvement and growth.
- Translate product strategy into detailed requirements and prototypes.
- Serve as the KPS pharmacy product expert to build awareness and understanding of new products / services.
- Possess extensive market knowledge of all pharmacy coalitions, clinical options, and PBMs in the industry.
- Ability to see the "big picture", incorporating experience and knowledge with attention to detail that drives success in overall effective business strategy.
- Review complex contracting language, crafting executable contracting terms from approved business cases and customer negotiations.
- Understand all aspects of the contract process to identify risks and capitalize on opportunities to refine language for clarity and evolutions in the marketplace.
- Negotiate pharmacy benefit management (PBM) and other third-party vendor agreements for pharmacy-related lines of business.
- Assist with KPS current projects and other projects as assigned.
- Develop product design, pricing, and positioning strategies.
- Comprehensive role in overall effective business strategy encompassing business relations, product development, collaboration with all internal and external KPS teammates and partners.
- Establish and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders, such as Keenan Core teams, AP producers and account executives, Accretive producers, PBM partners, clinical partners, and clients.
- Gain a deep understanding of customer experience, identify and fill product gaps, and generate new ideas that grow market share, improve customer experience, and drive growth.
- Create buy-in for the product vision both internally and with key external partners.
- Strong consulting and product knowledge is required to collaborate with all Keenan Pharmacy Partners, affiliated AP offices, and Corporate Pharmacy Sales and Analytics Division.
- Work closely with KPS teams to deliver with quick time-to-market and optimal resources.
- Participate on cross-functional teams as a subject matter expert to ensure the proper representation of contracting, pricing, and analytics as required to evaluate and implement new and innovative business strategies.
- Maintain confidential and proprietary information at all times, including but not limited to information relating to KPS' clients, policies, practices, etc.
- Other duties as assigned.

Compensation :
The target salary range for this position is $160,000.00 to $185,000.00 (US Dollar) annually. The actual salary will vary based on applicant's education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. The salary may also be adjusted based on applicant's geographic location. Remote work environment flexibility but must be willing to travel as needed.
