ASSYST is seeking a highly skilled Financial Business Analyst to support our client in Austin, TX. The consultant will review the current configuration of the Centralized Accounting and Payroll/Personnel System (CAPPS) within the Finance division. The primary goal of this position is to assist lead analysts in reviewing and optimizing the current CAPPS configuration for efficiency, evaluating best use cases to reduce workload on staff resources, increase reporting accuracy, and minimize system maintenance efforts.
This position will require collaboration with cross-divisional executives, directors, and other stakeholders as directed by the CFO. The candidate will support reviews of current TCAPPS business processes, focusing on enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of the CAPPS Financial system.

Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate functional and technical resources as needed for collaboration.
- Assist with re-engineering or developing processes to improve CAPPS Financial system efficiency.
- Work with business customers to gather requirements for system/process improvements and report development.
- Provide input to project management on the level of effort required for customer-requested activities.
- Prepare detailed documentation in support of assigned activities as requested by management.
- Conduct full range of testing and configuration tasks as necessary.
- Design, test, and build queries to support business process improvements.
- Assist with All-Activity Query validation.
- Experience with CAPPS Business Process Design/Redesign/Reengineering best practices.
- Experience with Business/System/Data Analysis and Improvement.
- Experience with developing various reporting mechanisms.
- Experience with ERP/CAPPS Financials/PeopleSoft in Texas.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Windows and Office products.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Knowledge of CAPPS GL, Commitment Control, Purchasing, E-Procurement, AP, Cash Receipts, Inventory, Assets, and Grants.
- Experience with PeopleSoft Financial modules implementation and post-go-live support with a focus on process improvement.
- Experience with ledger reconfiguration impact, testing, and reconciliation.
- Familiarity with the All-Activity Query logic in CAPPS.
