ASSYST seeks Senior Systems Analyst to support our government customer based in Texas.

Responsibilities:
- Support the migration efforts of the integrated resident information system, which includes Cerner Millennium, Dentrix, CareTracker and RLDatix Risk Module to a new SaaS solution.
- This includes comprehensive planning, data assessment, cleansing, and mapping to ensure compatibility with the new system.
- The Systems Analyst II will be responsible for designing and implementing workflows that integrate with the existing system, ensuring a seamless transition and optimal functionality of the new system.
- Document all phases of the migration process, engage with clinical and IT stakeholders for requirements gathering, and ensure clear communication throughout the Software Development Life Cycle.
- Ensures that design complies with client’s standards. This task also involves setting up validation and auditing processes to maintain data integrity post-migration.
- Perform necessary testing of the migration process, including creating and executing Unit test scripts, managing test scenarios, analyzing test results, and debugging issues.
- Utilize established software development and testing standards to ensure the reliability and functionality of the new SaaS solution.
- Provide regular updates on the migration progress to all project stakeholders including immediate managers, technical leads, developers, and business analysts.
- Use ticketing systems for information sharing and problem resolution.
- Facilitate the smooth transition to the new system by providing strategic oversight and support post-migration.
- 8 Database management systems and data migration, with a strong emphasis on healthcare EHR systems, particularly those involving complex integrations like Cerner Millennium.
- Experience in Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, or similar database scripting, crucial for the efficient migration of data to new SaaS platforms. Also, skill in using EXCEL, Word, Visio, and other spreadsheet software.
- Business analysis, including reviewing, analyzing, and evaluating user requirements, operational procedures, and identifying solutions to automate processes or enhance system functionality.

- Resolving complex data-related issues using robust analytical skills and logical problem-solving approaches.
- In-depth knowledge of current IT industry trends and market insights, applying them strategically within the organization.
- Architectural concepts, principles, and tools relevant to infrastructure, information systems, applications, and organizational structure
- Prior experience with SaaS model EHR systems and cloud data migrations.
- Experience with a state government Project Delivery Framework and document templates
- Familiarity with the existing and planned software technology and the global, regional, and local software architecture and infrastructure components
- Experience in regulatory compliance and data security related to healthcare data.
