The Warehouse Shipping Clerk prepares picklists and shipping documents for shipping. Our Warehouse Shipping Clerks earn a starting salary of $18.00-$19.50 per hour, depending on experience. Our Day Shift hours are Monday-Friday 7:00am-3:30pm
$1500.00 Sign-On Bonus!
What You'll Do:
• Provide shipping documents for domestic and international shipments in multiple ERP systems.
• Use internet and/or telephone to obtain quotes for part sale shipments when needed.
• Review and update various reports daily.
• Work with Inventory Control Manager on cycle counts. Which includes the analysis and correction of inventory discrepancies discovered during normal operations.
• Update item information in ERP system when needed.
• Assist and process in all types of shipments; drop shipments, miscellaneous shipments, subcontracting shipments, and intercompany shipments.
• Continue to learn shipping and export guidelines and regulations, providing updates to keep Astec Eugene-Franklin Blvd. current and in compliance.
• Assist in all other areas in shipping as required.
• Provide back up for Inventory Control group if required.
• Mandatory participation required in preparation of and in physical inventory.
• Maintains and uses all appropriate PPE.
• Uses material handling equipment when required.
• Actively participate in accident prevention and adheres to all safety requirements.
• Assists in other projects and duties as required

What We Need from You:
• High School diploma or GED preferred
• Working knowledge of Material Control or Warehouse environment is preferred
• Ability to operate general office equipment and a computer.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office software, including Word and Excel preferable.
• Ability to work well with others and demonstrate good oral and written communication skills.
• Perform work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to industrial noise, fumes, smoke, etc.
• Ability to climb stairs and maneuver in congested, heavy manufacturing environment.
• Occasionally perform work standing on concrete up to 10 hours per day.
• Must be able to work in a dynamic work environment in which needs are constantly changing with little or no notice. Need to be very flexible and helpful.
