Looking for CNC lathe machinist for night shift
Prefer 3 years minimum experience
Both vertical and horizontal machines with Fanuc controls
Need to be capable of reading blueprints and use precision tools
Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate CNC lathe machines to fabricate precision parts according to specifications
- Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and work orders to determine machining requirements
- Select and install appropriate tooling, fixtures, and materials for each job
- Program CNC lathe machines using CAM programming software
- Monitor machine operations to ensure proper functioning and make adjustments as needed
- Inspect finished parts using precision measuring instruments such as micrometers and calipers
- Perform routine maintenance on machines and equipment to ensure optimal performance
- Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area
Skills:
- Proficient in materials handling and working with various metals and alloys
- Strong knowledge of CNC lathe programming and operation
- Experience with SolidWorks or similar CAD software for creating part designs
- Familiarity with press brake machines for bending sheet metal components
- Ability to use hand tools and measuring instruments effectively
- Knowledge of tooling selection and setup for different machining operations
- Understanding of CAM programming principles for efficient machining processes
- Ability to assemble components according to specifications
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $24.00 - $34.00 per hour
