JOB TITLE: Recycling Waste Handler
FLSA STATUS: Non-Exempt
CATEGORY: Machine Operator I
SCHEDULE: Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, every other Saturday 6pm-6am
SUMMARY:
Conducts tasks required in the recycling area and plant cleanliness. Performs basic maintenance on a variety of specialized production and non-production equipment. Follow written, verbal and visual work instructions.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- The ability to understand written, verbal and visual instructions
- The ability to perform accurate written and computer data entry
- Able to test material before shipment
- Ability to operate all recycling equipment
- Balers, fabric, fiber, cores, cardboard
- Hypertrim
- Compactor(s)
- Load Waste on Vecoplan Shredder for Erema Operation
- Weigh, tag, and properly document all waste.
- Follow written Work Order instructions using proper materials
- Load trailers for shipment
- Monitor and fill outside containers with waste material (open top dumpsters)
- Certified fork truck, clamp truck and pole truck operation
- Understands all job hazards, demonstrates safe behaviors
- Able to maintain clean work environment (housekeeping, 5S) with little/no supervision
- Frequent removal of waste from all departments (production waste, cardboard, fiber and metal)
- Use of efficient time management skills
- Able to prioritize internal and external job functions
- Performs other duties as assigned
- Lock-out/tag-out
