Astera Health is seeking a skilled Phlebotomist to join our team. Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine laboratory work, adhering to established safety protocols and guidelines for personal protective equipment usage and incident reporting.
- Conduct phlebotomy, DOT urine drug collections, breath alcohol testing (BAT), x-rays, and ECG/EKG's in accordance with established procedures.
- Prepare samples for analysis using centrifuges and aliquoting techniques.
- Administer clinical laboratory waived testing at satellite labs.
- Maintain policies and procedures, ensuring adherence to safety and infection control standards.
- Investigate and address patient complaints, errors, or issues as needed.
- Report performance improvement activities within the department and across departments.
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalency.
- State of MN X-Ray equipment operator exam certification.
- An equivalent combination of education and experience that enables successful performance of job duties.
