Sonographer – Ultrasound/Vascular Tech (

Asterly Well Care Solutions and our partners at Upstate University Hospital are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Sonographer Ultrasound/Vascular Technician for a full-time, evening shift contract role. This position offers a great opportunity to join a leading healthcare team at a prestigious Level 1 trauma center.

Qualifications / Requirements:

• Graduate of an ultrasound program accredited by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA) or U.S. Department of Education (USDOE)
• RDMS certification in Abdomen and OB/GYN (required)
• Minimum 1 year of experience in sonography
• Must pass pre-employment health clearance
• Strong communication skills and ability to work independently
• Prior hospital-based experience preferred

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate sonographic equipment to perform diagnostic ultrasound exams
• Use clinical knowledge to differentiate between normal and abnormal findings during exams
• Accurately communicate diagnostic information to the interpreting radiologist
• Maintain daily operations of the sonographic lab, including:
• Scheduling patients
• Performing quality assurance and equipment checks
• Ensuring clean and safe working conditions
• Obtain and document relevant medical history from patients
• Participate in a rotating schedule of weekends, holidays, and on-call coverage
