Job Title : HR GeneralistJob Description
The main function of a Human Resources Generalist is to perform administrative functions such as employee benefits, recruiting, and interviewing, along with strategic planning and policy management. The HR Generalist is responsible for enhancing company productivity, increasing performance, and improving business results.
Responsibilities
Serve as a link between management and employees by handling questions, interpreting, and administering contracts, and helping resolve work-related problems.
Advise managers on organizational policy matters such as equal employment opportunity and sexual harassment.
Plan and conduct new hire orientation.
Support HR manager with gathering necessary documents and paperwork for refereeing disputes and administering disciplinary procedures.
Support the HR department at the Distribution Center for 4 days and Work Tools for 1 day.
Support production employee HR requests.
Administer leave and policy-related matters.
Answer benefit questions.
Support recruiting and onboarding initiatives.
Coordinate learning and development programs.
Coordinate HR operational processes, including unemployment insurance, investigations, organizational structure changes, and pay changes.
Execute the communications plan.
Manage social media pages for the Waco Facility.
Handle all HR functions in the Generalist role, including recruiting, onboarding, new hire experience, orientations, onboarding & I9s, employee relations functions, and vendor relations.
Help plan and execute employee engagement initiatives for 2024-2025, advertise and manage social media pages according to company policy.

Additional Skills & Qualifications
Associates degree required at minimum; Bachelor's degree preferred
2 years experience with a Bachelor's degree, or 4 years experience with an Associate's degree
Knowledge of legal policies and procedures related to hiring practices (i.e., equal employment opportunity and affirmative action)
Knowledge of benefit and pay-scale systems
CMS or database experience (Workday strongly preferred)
Industrial / Manufacturing environment experience preferred
Experience with HRIS systems
Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Power BI, Microsoft Flow)
Ability to work independently and manage one's time
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Attention to detail, customer service, and interpersonal skills
Work Environment
Supporting HR department at the Distribution Center 5 days a week, in both office and production floor settings (50 / 50). The team is very close-knit in the office, but frequently out on the floor building relationships with employees. The role operates on the 1st shift (7am-4pm, flexible) within a team of 3 HR professionals supporting 400 employees.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $25.50 / hr.
