Job Title : Staff Accountant
Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Staff Accountant in Lake Oswego, OR. The role involves working in-office from Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM, with a flexible start time. This position will work out of a brand-new location within a growing company that values a work-hard, play-hard culture.
Responsibilities
- Review, prepare, and analyze all work papers and draft financial statements for various entities.
- Complete weekly bank reconciliations for multiple entities.
- Manage Accounts Payable for overhead invoices, including research, allocation, data entry, payable inquiries, and weekly check cutting.
- Review and process Accounts Payable for general conditions and subcontracts, ensuring accuracy and weekly check cutting.
- Prepare monthly development project AIA's and corresponding documents.
- Handle Accounts Receivable for construction activities, including receipting and following up on aged receivables.
- Record adjusting journal entries in the General Ledger.
- Conduct General Ledger account audits as requested.
- Prepare and gather work papers necessary to fulfill PBC list annually for tax and audit preparers.
- Maintain schedules for land deposits, development fee payouts, and quarterly cash distributions.
- Manage corporate entity filing and archive permanent documents.
- Handle licensing renewals and new applications.
- Document accounting policies.
- Scan legal documents, update the legal log sheet, and email to interested parties.
- Perform any additional responsibilities as assigned.
