Regional Director of Facilities Management
The Regional Director of Facilities Management oversees the maintenance, safety, and operations of multiple Skilled Nursing Facilities (SNFs) within a designated region. This position ensures that all facilities comply with regulatory requirements and operate efficiently, focusing on providing a safe and comfortable environment for residents, staff, and visitors. The ideal candidate is a skilled leader with expertise in facilities management, regulatory compliance, and staff development within the healthcare industry.
Key Responsibilities :
1. Leadership and Oversight :
o Direct and coordinate maintenance, safety, and facility operations across multiple SNFs.
o Develop and implement policies and procedures for efficient facility management.
o Support and mentor facility-level maintenance directors and teams.
2. Compliance and Safety :
o Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, including OSHA, NFPA, and CMS guidelines.
o Oversee life safety inspections, environmental safety audits, and emergency preparedness plans.
o Implement corrective action plans for deficiencies identified during inspections or audits.
3. Maintenance and Operations :
o Develop and manage preventive maintenance programs for all buildings, equipment, and systems.
o Review and approve vendor contracts for maintenance, repairs, and capital improvements.
o Monitor and manage budgets for maintenance and facilities operations.
4. Capital Projects and Improvements :
o Plan and oversee renovations, upgrades, and construction projects within the region.
o Collaborate with executive leadership to align capital improvement projects with organizational goals.
5. Staff Training and Development :
o Provide ongoing training for facility maintenance staff on regulatory standards, safety protocols, and operational best practices.
o Foster a culture of continuous improvement and professional development among facilities teams.
6. Emergency Response :
o Serve as a point of contact during emergencies affecting facilities (e.g., natural disasters, system failures).
o Coordinate regional disaster preparedness plans and recovery efforts.
Qualifications :
- 5 years of experience in facilities management, preferably in a healthcare or long-term care setting.
- Proven experience managing multiple locations or regional responsibilities.
- Knowledge of federal, state, and local regulations, including life safety codes and OSHA standards.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Proficiency in facilities management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to travel within the assigned region.
