We are currently seeking a highly motivated Referral Coordinator that will be primarily responsible for submitting referrals and handling clinic check out. This role will report to the Office Manager and enable us to continue to scale in the healthcare industry.

What You'll Do
Handle incoming calls efficiently.Identify patients’ needs, clarify information, submitt referrals via insurance portals, fax out referrals and patient follow ups.Provide courteous customer service to patients regarding referral requests.Request consult notes from other providers as needed.Responds to all patient inquiries concerning their referrals.Communicate with insurance companies to ensure all requests adhere to guidelines of coverage.Track referrals and provide follow-up as needed.Document all referral activities on patient files for future reference.Maintain accurate and organized patient file documentation.Handle clinic check out.Assist at the front desk as needed.Any other duties as assigned.Qualifications
MUST be able to speak and write in Spanish fluently.High school diploma or equivalent required.Experience with medical terminology.Experience at the front desk or reception, preferably for an internal medicine practice.Experience with at least one EMR.Hands-on experience with patient scheduling, insurance verification, collecting.Excellent computer skills and typing speed of at least 25 WPM. Experience with Microsoft office.Strong verbal and written communication skills; must be able to communicate in a professional and courteous manner.Excellent interpersonal skills. Must relate well with patients, peers, physicians, and management. Must be genuinely concerned for people, respectful, and be able to use diplomacy and tact in challenging situations.Ability to work in a high-standard and busy environment.You're great for this role if :

Our organization follows an in-person work structure where the expectation is to work onsite on a weekly basis. The facility is located at 509 W Tidwell Suite 200, Houston, TX 77091.The work hours are Monday - Friday 8 : 30am-5 : 30pm.The total compensation target pay range for this role is : $16.00-20.00 per hour.
