About the Role
As a Senior Scientist in the High-Throughput Production & Screening (HTPS) team, you will be instrumental in advancing biologics discovery efforts by designing and optimizing workflows, automating processes, and collaborating across multidisciplinary teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement high-throughput workflows for protein expression and purification, focusing on antibody-like proteins.
- Drive the production of therapeutic proteins using mammalian expression systems, automation, and robotics.
- Conduct and analyze biochemical, biophysical, and functional profiling of antibodies and recombinant antibody fragments.
- Collaborate with therapeutic area scientists to ensure efficient project progress.
- Optimize workflows and resolve technical challenges.
Qualifications
Education & Experience:
- PhD in Biotechnology, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, or a related field.
- Master’s degree with 3 years of relevant experience in antibody engineering or protein characterization.
- Bachelor’s degree with 5 years of relevant experience.
Required Skills:
- Proficiency in molecular and cell biology techniques (e.g., cloning, transfection).
- Hands-on experience with protein expression, purification, and antibody formats.
- Expertise in CHO and HEK293 cell culture techniques.
- Experience with automation platforms (e.g., Hamilton liquid handlers).
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
Desired Skills:
- Experience in antibody discovery and advanced purification techniques.
- Familiarity with multicolor flow cytometry platforms (e.g., iQue, FlowJo).
- Coding knowledge (Python, Jupyter Notebook).
- Understanding of Design of Experiments (DOE) for workflow optimization.
