Position Overview
Astria Therapeutics is dedicated to bringing hope with life-changing therapies to patients and families affected by allergic and immunological diseases. Astria’s pipeline includes our lead program, Navenibart, a monoclonal antibody inhibitor of plasma kallikrein in clinical development for the treatment of hereditary angioedema, as well as STAR-0310, an OX40 monoclonal antibody antagonist currently in clinical development for atopic dermatitis (AD) and being explored for other allergic and immunological diseases.

We are seeking a Senior Scientist with expertise in immunology to drive research initiatives by designing and executing complex in vitro and in vivo studies, analyzing data, and providing actionable insights that shape the direction of our pipeline. As a subject matter expert, you will play a pivotal role in target selection, experimental strategy, and the communication of scientific progress to both internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities
- Design, execute, and supervise in vitro and in vivo immunological studies
- Drive efforts in target biology research, assay development, and in vitro pharmacology to support early-stage drug discovery.
- Analyze and interpret experimental data, delivering clear and actionable insights through comprehensive reports.
- Provide immunology expertise to prioritize therapeutic targets and refine experimental strategies.
- Prepare, review, and deliver scientific presentations for internal teams, external collaborators, and scientific conferences.
- Stay current with emerging technologies and cutting-edge research to continuously enhance our scientific capabilities.
- Ph.D. in Immunology, Pharmacology, Molecular Biology, or a related field, with at least 2 years of industry experience in antibody discovery or related areas.
- Prior experience in therapeutic antibody discovery, engineering, or development.
- Proficient in bioanalytical techniques such as flow cytometry, Luminex, ELISA, MSD, and advanced cellular imaging.
- Demonstrated success in assay development, optimization, and interpretation of diverse bioassays.
- Analytical skills with the ability to distill complex data into clear, actionable conclusions.
- Exceptional project management, organizational, and planning skills.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present scientific data to diverse audiences.
- Prior experience in antibody drug development, particularly within immunology, is highly preferred.
