Position Summary:
The VMI Coordinator will be responsible for maintaining inventory by loading/unloading vending machines, stocking storage areas, and handling materials efficiently. This role requires punctuality, dependability, and the ability to lift and transport inventory items using a push cart.
Key Responsibilities:
- Load and unload vending machines and stock Point of Use (POU) areas in the warehouse.
- Use a scanner to order materials for restocking the storeroom.
- Transport materials using a push cart and potentially operate a John Deere Gator/golf cart (training provided).
- Conduct inventory counts and ensure proper stocking of items.
- Maintain organization within the warehouse and optimize crib space.
- Follow safety guidelines, including wearing required steel-toe shoes and ear protection in a noisy environment.
Schedule & Work Conditions:
- Shift: Monday to Friday, 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM (start/end times flexible but must be consistent).
- Part-time, temporary role with the potential to become permanent.
- Warehouse environment: Not temperature-controlled (can be hot in summer).
- Physical demands: Occasional lifting of up to 50 lbs unassisted.
Requirements:
- Experience: Minimum 1 year of relevant warehouse, inventory counting, or delivery experience.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred (not required).
- Skills & Abilities:
- Basic computer knowledge (for scanner use).
- Punctual, reliable, and self-motivated.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to lift and move materials as needed.
- Willingness to learn and operate a Gator if required.
