What are the responsibilities and job description for the Job Scheduler/Planner position at Astro Industries?
Astro Industries, Inc is the Midwest’s premier plating and metal finishing shop family owned and managed since 1983. We are an essential provider for the continuous demands in todays world including the paper industries, defense, gas and oil, hydraulics, mining, food, agriculture, and aerospace.
We are currently seeking a motivated person to maintain the everyday Shop Schedule.
This position is responsible for managing the flow of jobs though our machine shop. Typical workflow includes machine scheduling, tank scheduling and other necessary tasks to ensure our shop continues to operate at top efficiency.
Responsibilities:
· Create and maintain schedules within a job shop environment
· Ensure customer due dates are being met
· Give the Sales team accurate information on customer orders
· Once the job is complete assist with shipment if needed
· Identify problems and help improve process
Requirements:
- Capable of handling multiple priorities simultaneously
· Proficiency with Computers
· Ability to create and understand reports
· Experience in a shop type environment is a plus
· Experience with Job Boss is a plus
· Experience with Scheduling multiple operations
· Mut be able to work independently and with a team
This is a full-time, Monday thru Friday position with competitive Pay and Benefits
