Position Opportunity
The Laboratory Technician I function within a Class 5 cleanroom and prepares the chemicals and equipment for the lab analysis process. In addition, this position is responsible to support the Chemist and other technicians performing the cleanliness verification process. From time to time this position will assist production with cleaning and packaging as required.
Essential Duties / Responsibilities
- Perform sample collection
- Handle solvent
- Maintain lot number traceability and serialization of parts
- Maintain Inventory of lab consumables
- Work in pre-clean and cleanroom environments according to proper protocols
- Particle count and NVR for entire cleanrooms
- Perform monthly facility inspections
- Maintain cleanliness of lab
Other Duties / Responsibilities
- Assist other technicians and departments as needed
- Compliant with all training, quality, compliance and safety policies, practices and procedures
- All other responsibilities assigned by Lead or Manager
- Analyze and implement projects in compliance with U.S. Export Control Laws
Qualifications
Education/Training/Certifications: Must have a high school diploma or general education degree (GED); or minimum 2 years lab experience or equivalent
Related Experience: Cleanroom experience and/or laboratory experience with wet chemistry
Overtime: Willing and able to work overtime, including holidays, weekends, and on short notice call in as required. 10-20% overtime to be expected
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
- Ability to read and understand work instructions from Production Management System (ICMS), documents, correspondence and memos
- Effective communication skills which include verbal and written in English
- Ability to wear respirator as needed
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to perform basic mathematical functions. Should be able to compute rate, ratio, and percent.
- Moderate computer skills with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Legal capacity to comply with federally mandated requirements of the U.S. Export Control Laws
Environment:
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts and the noise level in the work environment is usually moderate
